"We are building Africa’s sovereign AI infrastructure so that the continent can own, operate, and scale its digital future. Our mission is to make high-performance computing accessible, affordable, and locally powered across emerging markets."
AI GRID SOL is building a sovereign, energy-efficient GPU cloud infrastructure in North Africa to democratize access to high-performance AI computing across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Founded by Abdelwahab Heba — an AI Speech Scientist at Microsoft — and Anouar Zemouri, a SCADA systems engineer and AI ecosystem builder, the company addresses one of Africa’s most urgent challenges: the absence of localized, affordable, and scalable AI compute capacity. In addition to our GPU-as-a-Service architecture, AI GRID SOL is also deploying a fully open and sovereign LLM deployment platform, starting with the African continent and expanding to serve broader regions worldwide. To accelerate our deployment across Africa, we look forward to collaborating with the AI Hub on policy enablement, cross-border infrastructure partnerships, and capacity-building programmes. We also seek support in connecting with international investors, utilities, telecom operators, and academic ecosystems to scale our sovereign AI data centers, GPU cloud services and our LLM platform.
